Microsoft Windows 11

After a not so bright idea of updating Microsoft OS from W10 to W11 I had  this issue of flickering screen after restart from a sleeping mode for a long while.

The Screen flickers or even turns black while moving the mouse over some menus. Only solution was to reboot the Laptop.

I checked many potential fixes :

  • updated the last updates from MS W11. All softwares and drivers (mouse, screen, card etc...) were up to date for W11 => Nope
  • I checked the hibernation options. Still not working although I can say the problem occurs systematically after hibernation while only after a long sleep in normal sleep mode

Finally I found an old thread here of many people having issues with automatic updates  of the Intel UHD Graphic card pushed by Microsoft W10... and the fix was to download from Hp another more recent driver.

So I tried to download from HP a driver for my laptop. Unfortunately none is recommended for W11 as the Laptop was sold with W10 😢

Never mind I tried a driver from the last W10 drivers that "looked" close to what I think Ihad initially...Not sure it was the right one 😧..

Seems to work so far. 🤞.... Why is it so hard to navigate around those bugged drivers from MS and no easy way to find a correct one from HP ?
