Back in January I sent off my laptop to get the keyboard repaired under warranty. I received the laptop back working fine. A couple of weeks later the display would flash occasionally. I didn't really think anything of it but it continued to get worse and now 7 months later the screen went completely black. External monitors work. Now out of warranty I decided to take the back panel off to see if something was just loose. Not seeing anything I took the back cap off next to the screen and see that one of the wires had been caught in a bind and was now cut in two. This appears to be one of two wires on the left side of the screen. I don't know if this is a power cable or a bundled data cable. Do I have any options for hp to cover this repair?
