@subhra1, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like you're experiencing multiple issues with your HP Victus 16, including display flickering, power button light blinking, and the display turning off completely. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:
Hard Reset
- Disconnect all external devices such as USB storage devices or external displays.
- Unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery if accessible.
- Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to drain residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter back in, then try to turn on the computer.
Check Connections
- Ensure all cable connections are secure, particularly those related to the display and power adapter.
Battery and Power Adapter
- Verify that the battery is properly installed and charged.
- Check the AC adapter for any damage and ensure it provides the correct voltage.
- Test the computer with a verified working adapter if possible.
Reseat RAM and Other Components
- Ensure that the RAM and other components are properly seated in their slots. Loose connections can cause power and display issues.
Update BIOS and Drivers
- Use another device to download and update the BIOS and essential drivers from the HP website to ensure everything is up to date.
Diagnostic Tools
- Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics, if available, to check for hardware failures. This tool can be accessed usually by pressing Esc followed by F2 during startup.
Also, refer to this guide for further troubleshooting steps: HP Notebook and All-in-One PCs - Troubleshooting screen issues (Windows 11, 10) | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
