Good evening Community
I have an HP Omen laptop. I have been using 2 external monitors (both Samsung f27t350fhn) for about 4 months. One connected by HDMI and one connected by USB-C. I connect the laptop to the monitors when using in my home office. I was using them last night without issue. I reconnected them this evening and the one connected by the USB C will not recognize as a monitor. It does connect as a BillBoard device but does not then recognize as a monitor. There are no errors or messages displayed about the connection.
What I have done:
- hooked in my husbands laptop and both monitors work as expected
- Tried reversing the connections between the two monitors, only the USB connection works
- restarting both the laptop and the monitors (unplugged and left sit before restarting)
- undid and reconnected all cables
- checked if there was a recent Windows update installed, not since November. Did pending updates.
- Checked if there was any drivers updated for monitors or BillBoard, none were. Ensured all were up to date
- Updated my NVIDIA driver
- made sure monitor inputs were selected appropriately
- uninstalled and reinstalled the devices
- tried to "detect other display' - "we didn't find another display"
- tried running several troubleshooters, no deficiencies found
I cannot think of anything else to try.
I am hoping someone has some amazing suggestions
Thank you in advance.
