Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Laptop 15-dy2xxx boots up but the screen is black. I plugged it into another monitor and it works; which now turns it into a desktop computer and not a laptop. I have tried pretty much all of the fixes online - none worked. I have not opened it up to remove the battery because it does not look very easy. Please help
