HP USB-C Dock G5

I recently bought a HP Laptop (type: 17-cp1375nd with Windows 11 (64 bit) and AMD Ryzen 7 5825U microprocessor) and a HP USB-C Dock G5. When I connectthe dock with the laptop the laptop battery does nog charge and the second monitor is not detected. I tried both an HDMI cable and a displayport-cable (my monitor supports both). Can anyone tell what the problem couldy be and how I might be able to fix it?

I have tried several several options:

- I allso connected an older Dell Laptop. When I do this the battery charges and the second monitor is detected. In other words, when I use the Dell laptop I have no problems.

- I updated all the drivers.

- I used the HP PC Hardware diagnostics tool to run several diagnostics.

I have also connected several USB-devices to the dock (mouse, keyboard) and I am using the LAN and audio ports. They all work fine.

Regards,

Meine

What is your HP 17 Laptop PC-17cp  machine ? I can say now: the HP USB-C G5 is NOT compatible with your machine. They won''t work together.

I need to know what is your HP 17 Laptop PC-17cp  machine before I can add more comments.

Regards.
