Hi All,

I have recently purchased a HP Laptop and I'm using it to present a Power Point presentation, via HDMI, to large screen TV's at different venues.

One of the venues has iiyama large screen TV's, which are giving me the report 'incorrect type of input' when I use HDMI to connect with them. Blank dark screen and no sound or video shown on the big screen other than the report.

I 'm told that I may need to check the resolution and refresh rate of my laptop to provide the correct signal?

Can anyone assist with how to check the resolution and refresh rate provided by my laptop HDMI output to ensure I've got the signal to the Tv set up correctly?

Thanks for your time and help with this,

Ian.

Hi Banhien, thanks very much for taking the time to answer my question, it's much appreciated 🙂

I've spoken to the tech people for the TV company and they have supplied a file to update the firmware on the TV.

My laptop drivers etc are fully updated and checked by the Microsoft tech people.

As you've suggested, I'll also type in the instructions on which HDMI port I'll be using for inputs from my laptop.

I can't get in to the venue to do this work until after the holiday break, but hopefully this will be enough to sort things out fully!

Thanks again for your time and help with this question,

Ian.

Nothing wrong with your computer because it works with other TV's. You have to tell your TV which HDMI port you use for a computer. Please check its manual.
