Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop is booting fine from hard drive/fan noises. Had a problem for a few weeks whereby if the laptop had gone to sleep with the screen open, the screen wouldn't come back on and I would have to close and reopen the laptop to get the internal screen to work. Now the internal screen won't come on at all. Presume internal screen cable or switch that tells the laptop when the screen is open are at fault? How to get fixed, easy self repair or can send back to HP? No laptop repair places locally. Thanks.
