Hi @Manon04,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion x360 15 Convertible PC Laptop screen is showing yellow or orange discoloration at the edges, it could be due to a few potential issues. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and possibly fix the problem.

Check Display Settings:

  • Go to Settings > System > Display.
  • Ensure that the color settings are correct. You can try resetting the display settings to default.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search bar).
  • Expand Display adapters, right-click your graphics driver, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off your laptop, unplug the power cord, and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reinsert the battery, plug in the power cord, and turn on the laptop.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • If the issue persists, it could be a hardware problem. Check for any visible damage to the screen or connections. Sometimes, a loose cable can cause display issues.
  • If you’re comfortable doing so, you can open the laptop to check for loose connections between the screen and the motherboard.

Run HP Diagnostics:

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc as it boots up.
  • Select F2 for System Diagnostics and run the Display Test to see if it identifies any issues.

External Display Test:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor using an HDMI cable. If the external display shows the same color issues, the problem is likely with your graphics card. If it looks normal, the issue is with your laptop screen.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
