Hi everyone,

I’m using an HP laptop for daily work, and recently I’ve been noticing performance issues when using browser-based tools, especially while handling larger files.

For example, when I upload or process files (like PDFs) using online tools such as:
Edited

I experience the following:

• Laptop becomes noticeably slow
• Browser tabs start lagging
• Fan speed increases and system heats up
• Sometimes the browser becomes unresponsive for a few seconds

What I’ve tried:

• Closing background applications
• Updating Windows and drivers
• Clearing browser cache
• Testing on Google Chrome and another browser
• Running HP performance optimization tools

The issue seems more noticeable when processing larger files or multitasking.

Question:

Is this due to hardware limitations (RAM/CPU), or could there be some settings I can optimize on my HP laptop to improve performance during heavy browser usage?

Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Hi @rammiskhan,

I Understand your concern about  slow performance issue, don’t worry let me help you with this.

Could you please share the exact HP laptop model

In the meantime, here are a few  steps you can try:

  • Check Task Manager: While processing large files, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and see which resources (CPU, RAM, Disk) are being heavily used.
  • Adjust Power Settings: Ensure your laptop is set to “High Performance” mode in Windows Power Options, so it doesn’t throttle CPU speed.
  • Cooling and Ventilation: Since you mentioned heating and fan noise, make sure the laptop is placed on a hard surface with good airflow. A cooling pad can also help.
  • Browser Alternatives: Sometimes, certain browsers handle large files more efficiently. If Chrome and Edge lag, you might test Firefox to compare

I hope this helps.
