It looks like you were interacting with @The_Fossette, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,
I'm the Jeet_Singh & I'm at your service.
I'm glad you partially found it working however, you seems to have an issue with the audio. No worries, I have f ew suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.
I would suggest here is to Run Windows Updates troubleshooter -
Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.
Now try to perform Windows Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to uninstall the audio drivers from device manager:
Let's start off by uninstalling the audio drivers from device manager:
Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand sound video and game controllers>then select the sound drivers and right-click on it and uninstall the audio drivers.
Then check the box delete the software for this device.
Restart the computer and then update the Bios, Chipset and audio drivers on your PC from our HP support website, using this link.
Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.
Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.
Once done, restart the computer.
For more details, please follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP PCs - Troubleshooting HDMI Display and Sound Issues (Windows 10, 8, 7)
Hope this answers your question.
Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂

Thank you for replying,
In this scenario, I would suggest you try to uninstall the windows update, which is causing the issue.
How to uninstall a specific Windows update
If you want to uninstall one of the smaller less impactfull updates then thankfully that is quite a bit easier to do:
- Open up your Windows Settings and head back into “Update & security”
- Click on the “Windows Update” tab, and then on “Update history”.
- On the next screen, click on “Uninstall updates”
You will then be presented with a screen showing a list of recent updates sorted by the installation date. You’ll be able to search through all of the updates using the search box at the top right, so if you have the KB number of the update that is giving you the issue you can search for that to find it quickly.
Once done, restart the computer and then follow the steps from the previous post to update the Windows.
Please try and get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting as this will help me in further assisting you.
Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂
Regards,
Jeet_Singh
