Hello,

I'm trying to connect an older LG Monitor to my new HP Laptop but it won't detect the monitor.

Details of monitor are shown on below photo.  I've tried using the detect and duplicate display under settings but it won't detect the monitor.

Is it that the HP laptop screen resolution is too high for LG Monitor?

@Pete93 That could be the resolution, however, the best to check, is to connect an alternate monitor to the device and see if that works fine,

And if that doesn't work, either, it could be a bad cable or a port, so, please check that out and get back to us with the results.

P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
