Notebook Projection Companion

Does anyone know of a cable for this projector that would connect to the first gen Lightning port on an Apple laptop? (no 9-pin, no D-port)/

You are asking Apple term for a Thunderbolt™ 3 cable. Please use following cable

                      https://www.apple.com/au/shop/product/MQ4H2FE/A/thunderbolt-3-usb%E2%80%91c-cable-08-m

They have longer sizes 1m or more.

Regards.

The laptop is an Apple laptop that is a few years old. It has an older lightning connector but no d-port or 9-pin monitor outputs. The cable needed for the projector is a proprietary HP connector, flat and wide on the projector housing, and it terminates in a 9-pin monitor-out for the computer side. Maybe I need to get an adapter from the 9-pin to the correct Apple connector?
