HP ENVY Laptop 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I just bought a new HP ENVY 13. Today is the first day out of the package and I noticed right away that the trackpad appears to be loose. When lightly tapping the trackpad it makes a click noise (not one such as clicking a button but rather a higher sort of snapping as if it were loose). Although the trackpad works perfectly other than this, it is very annoying for a new laptop to have this and makes the trackpad feel quite cheap. I was wondering if other people had this issue and if there was any way to fix it or if the only option would be to attempt to get a refund/replacement for the laptop. Thanks!

@mini1001,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If the touchpad is loose, it is a mechanical issue and I recommend you contact support and check the available service options for your computer or you can contact the store from where you purchased the laptop.

Here is how you can get in touch with tech support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
