I had my mouse pointer one day and when I went back to my computer the following day it disappeared. I tried all the "tricks" to get it back but it didn't work.  I tried restore points as well which didn't help. This is driving me crazy and would appreciate any help I can get.

@Eddie_P_65,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • In which application/software you are unable to see the cursor?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

While you respond to that, I recommend you uninstall the touchpad driver from device manager and then restart the computer and check whether the issue is resolved.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Press Windows key + X and go to Device Manager.
  2. In the Device Manager window find your touchpad drivers.
  3. Right-click them, and select Uninstall.
  4. Select the option to delete the driver package from the system.
  5. Go to the Action menu of Device manager and select Scan for Hardware changes to reinstall your drivers.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
