Hi All,

While attending meetings either Google or Zoom meets there is a loud metal transformer like sound on the other side.

Not sure if the fan sound is disturbing.

I have disconnected USB logitech headset, removed the power chord and still the sound persists.  removed logitech usb webcam also still no luck.  As per HP assistant all the required drivers and updates have been installed.

I tried to give earthing to the power supply but still persists.

It use to work earlier.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Video streaming, as with Zoom or Teams, is one of the most demanding things you can do on a laptop.

I have a four-core laptop and when I do streaming, it drives all four cores to nearly 100%, drives up the heat, and drives the fan to maximum. Only turning off the streaming cools it down and quiets down the fan.

You can try using a laptop stand that has embedded fans to draw heat away from the laptop -- but there is no guarantee that will work.

Thanks Wawood .  Some of your suggestions does help.

However if this helps others. I did the following which resolved my problem for now.

1. In the Bios under advance settings i disabled fan use always.

2. I switched off the cool sense app.

3. Made sure the laptop is in an air-condition room or cooled down before use.

4. Detached the power supply from the system when on calls.  To avoid any earthing issues.

5. Detached my headset and used the laptop microphone and speakers instead.

Hope this helps others too.

Thanks
