hp spectre 360 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my hp spectre laptop will not play video files or photos created by my new camera. My non HP desktop will play them. i dont understand what the issue is. the files are 4k 100mbs 4:2:2 10bit mp4 files. they save from my camera to my hard drive. them are recognized by my HP laptop but they refuse to playback and crash my computer. i have tried multiple programs to open them but nothing works. The only program that would open them on my desktop was Adobe Premier. Please help

I understand that you are unable to play the Mp4 files.

 

Please let us know which application you are using to open the MP4 files.

 

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

 

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

 

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant. 
  2. Check for updates. 
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.  

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
