My "G" key isn't working (reacting); I press it, but nothing happens. I can't get into my laptop since my password contains a "G." Took me forever to figure it out! I thought I was locked out of my laptop. HELP!

@MSDW Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the letter G is not working.
Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.
Frist to enter the password please click ease of action. In that, you will see the on-screen keyboard. using that you are able to login to the computer.
Once you are able to login to windows. Open the device manager and uninstall the keyboard drivers and update the BIOS.
If you are still unable to use the G letter, please perform the keyboard component test and check.
1. Power off the PC and make sure that it is completely powered off.
2. Press the power button and the moment you press the power button immediately start tapping F2 key, you should see the system diagnostics screen.
3. Look for the component test, under that all the hardware will be listed, please choose Keyboard and initiate the quick test.
Note: If it fails it will generate a 24 digits alphanumeric failure id, please capture that.
Please let us know the result.
