My computer has several issues with the screen. When it turns on after sleep it will shake and flicker like this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d0rP6ICSZY
Additionally it has a permanent "burn-in" effect. The screen distorts colors and makes them lighter as you go up the screen. If my screen were to display a solid color like red, it would look like a gradient with the red turning into pink as you look up on the screen. Elements displayed in webpages "bleed" upwards. For example, my cursor also has a white tint above it that goes up the screen. Recently closed tabs on a web browser are still faintly displayed. I know that these are hardware issues because neither occur on a display that the computer is plugged into via HDMI. I just want to know what needs to be fixed. This computer cost a lot of money and within 2 years of purchase these issues showed up and the hinges won't close properly. I want to know if replacing parts is worth it, or if I should just buy a new laptop. That laptop will certainly not be an HP. I am happy that my computer is powerful and allows me to run complicated programs required for my schoolwork (looking to be an electrical engineer) but it is frustrating that these issues occur. If a Mac was capable of running these programs and was compatible with more software I would buy one and never look back. Advice appreciated.
