HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0651nd
Microsoft Windows 11

Dear Sir, My laptop computer will not run some graphic programs. It has a Microsoft Basic Display adaptor and a UHD graphics 630. I managed to upgrade the UHD graphics 630 but the Microfoft BAsic display adaptor is stuck on 10.0.22621.1 which is 2009 driver. I am assuming this is the fault. Can you help me to get to the bottom of this? Thanks John

Hi, @John4000K

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it has both the Nvidia and Intel switchable graphics adapters.

HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0651nd Product Specifications | HP® Support

With a switchable graphics setup like that, you can only install the custom drivers from your notebook's support page, or the switchable graphics will not work.

Since there are no W11 drivers on the support page, you will have to see if the W10 drivers will work:

Here are the latest ones from the support page:

Intel:

Nvidia:

Hi Paul and others that replied, I really appreciate you help with this. I know now which direction to persure. The display has been an issue for a number of years, the HDMI failing first then programs stop working.  It was nice to get clear direction. Will let you know how we get on. John
