Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is for an Elitebook 8460p with Radeon 6400 graphics.  After replacing the SSD and a clean install of Win 10 and Radeon drivers from AMD. When the laptop is turned on it boots normally and then at the starting Windows screen the screen goes black but the rest of the machine is still working. If I pull the power plug out the screen turns on and then goes black when I plug it back in. If I press the power button  to put the computer to sleep and then wake it up the screen come on(on a/c). I tried changing power settings but it hasn't helped. I did another clean install of Windows without the Radeon drivers and get the same result. Thanks
