Ok I have a Lenovo laptop, two ThinkVision monitors and a HP G5 docking station. The monitors have HDMI ports and they are connected via the Display ports to the dock, which then is connected to the laptop using the USB-C cable. Power fine, cables new and connected correctly- who will the monitors not connect? Thought it would be plug and play but no! Not even detected!! Hope someone can help. Thanks

Sounds like your Lenovo machine is NOT compatible with your HP USB-C G5 dock. I tested few machines from Dell and HP (of course), my observation: HP USB-C G5 dock is NOT an one-size-fit-all  dock.

Regards.
