Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking for more recent drivers for UHD 620 graphics.  Intel's Drivers won't install, as they are mnf specific. HP's current version is 25.20.100 circa 2018/2019. Intel website is up to version 31.0.101 and looks ready for windows 11! Reason: some web based applications (chrome/edge) have visual glitches, glitches don't persist with hardware acceleration turned off (but apps become far too laggy). Glitches don't persist with Nvidia overridden as always used, but would like to the efficency gains of using integrated graphics when possible.

Hello @powerrangers

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

Please follow @Paul_Tikkanen's guide:

Manually Updating the Latest HD Graphics Driver from Intel...HD 5xx/6xx UHD, Iris, Iris Xe Plus

Kind regards

Hi, @powerrangers

Please do not use the information I posted in my knowledgebase article to upgrade the graphics.

While the Intel graphics will update and work fine, the Nvidia graphics will no longer work properly.

I edited my article after one of the first commenters on the guide indicated it caused the Nvidia graphics adapter not to work properly.

"Ok, here is the problem with this work around. Now the secondary video card is not addressed.

I got a message when starting Adobe programs, You are using an older driver and may have performance issues.

Yep, I did the direct install, no message from the Adobe program but now the Nvidia card does not switch over and my game performance suffers."

The guide should only be used on notebooks that have the onboard Intel graphics adapters only.

Hello @Paul_Tikkanen

Thanks for bringing clarity to the issue.

Thanks for the help, it got me going on what I think is a good track. I found a comparible dell system with UHD 620 along side a dedicated GPU and downloaded their Intel drivers. The intel side didn't have zip files for drivers, at least not for the latest greatest, only .exes. Anyway, grabbed a dell driver and then followed the tutioral below. So far things seem to be working good again. The lesson here is, don't bother with HP in the future, no offense, but I shouldn't have to come to a community board for 'technical support.' Thank you though friends.
