I've had innumerable issues with my HP spectres. I had a 15 inch, but switched to 13 inch for the sake of time (in school), but have had so many glitches, it drives me crazy at times. They come and go too, which is confusing.
One problem is that randomly, the cursor goes crazy and jumps (invisibly) to the left corner. You can see different icons and text selected, almost as if the laptop has a mind of its own, and when you try to use the touch screen, the laptop does not recognize touch, so you're left with a completely inoperable laptop. The only thing that sometimes gets it out of this funk is if I alter the screen brightness.... (?!)
Also, the battery life on this thing is silly. It will crash even plugged in.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the cursor is getting stuck on the left side randomly.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.
https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
If you continue facing the issue, then uninstall the touchpad driver from the device manger and then download and install it from the above link.
Here is how it is done.
- Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
