Hi @Anil7873,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP laptop’s touchpad is not working and you’re unable to find a compatible driver for Windows 11 Version 24H2. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and fix it:

1. Check if Touchpad is Enabled

Press Fn + F7 (or the key with a touchpad icon) to toggle the touchpad on/off.

Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Touchpad and ensure it’s turned on.

2. Check Device Manager

Press Win + X → Device Manager → Mice and other pointing devices.

Look for Synaptics / ELAN / HID-compliant touchpad.

If there’s a yellow warning icon, right-click → Update driver → Search automatically.

If not detected, right-click → Scan for hardware changes.

3. Install Generic or Optional Drivers

Even if an HP-specific driver for 24H2 isn’t available, Windows often works with generic drivers:

Open Device Manager → Right-click touchpad → Update driver → Browse my computer → Let me pick from a list → HID-compliant touchpad.

Restart your laptop.

4. Windows Update

Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates.

Sometimes optional updates include updated drivers for newer Windows versions.

5. BIOS and Chipset Updates

Check your HP laptop’s support page for your model.

Download the latest BIOS and chipset drivers compatible with Windows 11.

Install them and restart—this can restore touchpad functionality.

6. External Mouse (Temporary Fix)

While resolving the touchpad issue, you can use a USB or Bluetooth mouse.

I hope this helps.
