HP Envy x360 m Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I've owned my HP Envy x360 m Convertible Model 15m-bp-011dx for over two years without issue, but randomly last month one day my multi-finger gestures just stopped working.  The two-finger scroll or zoom and all three-finger gestures just do not work.  Essentially, my mousepad cannot recognize if anything more than 1 finger is on it.

I feel like I've done almost everything, including looking in the mouse and touchpad settings, as well as finagling the Synaptics SMBus ClickPad Driver in every possible way (uninstall, disable, update, restore to older version, etc).   I even tried to download new touchpad drivers (because a touchpad and a clickpad seem to be different things?) but have been unsuccessful.  Unfortunately, after about ten separate restarts nothing has worked, and normally I'd take it in to Geek Squad at this point, but COVID has made that difficult.

Thanks for any and all help on the issue, and stay safe and healthy!

Hi,

Have you tried to go into the settings to see if the multi-touch future is maybe turned off? You posted some pictures but those are not the settings I mean.

Click on start and type mouse

Click on change mouse settings

Click on additional mouse settings

There should be a checkmark to enable and disable multitouch. The pictures of my PC are in Italian but you should be able to understand.

Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately when I go into those settings, I don't have that tab, in other words there is nothing beyond "Hardware."  I believe I need to install a TouchPad driver, but I've been unsuccessful thus far in doing so.

Thanks again for the help!
