Hey Pallipurath,

I wanted to update you on the situation. I got a Windows update yesterday. After installation, the cursor finally appeared on my screen, and I’m happy to report that everything is now functioning properly.

Thank you.

Hi @ranay_b11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I'm here to assist with questions related to HP products and services. If your issue is with an HP product, such as a laptop,  I would request you to please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

Restart Explorer

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Find Windows Explorer, right‑click → Restart.
  • This refreshes the desktop and often restores the cursor.

Connect an External Mouse:

  • Try connecting an external USB mouse to see if the cursor appears. This can help determine if the issue is with the touchpad specifically.

Update Device Driver:

  • Go to Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting 'Device Manager.'
  • Expand the 'Mice and other pointing devices' section.
  • Right-click on your mouse device and click 'Update driver.'

Use Keyboard Shortcuts:

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to see if the cursor reappears on the lock screen or task manager.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hey Pallipurath,

Thank you for getting back to me. I thoroughly followed all the steps you provided, but unfortunately, the issue persists. The cursor is still not appearing on my screen. I checked my settings and restarted my device, but neither resolved the problem. If you have any other suggestions or troubleshooting steps I can try, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your help!
