So this started a few days ago and it has been persisting. The screen will shift to the right by about one inch and then shift back if I move the mouse into the area of the shift and click on it. However I have noticed that when the screen does this the resolution appears to drop a bit and the mouse looks like it did on Windows 95. The issue persists on battery power and while plugged into AC power.
This issue is driving me crazy and I have tried contacting support only to get "There is nobody available" or "An error has occurred." Why isn't there a number that I can call to get ahold of support to try and get his issue resolved?
If not done already, check if it works fine on the BIOS screen to identify if it's either a hardware or a software issue:
If it works fine on the BIOS (Accessed while tapping F10 during a restart) it's a software issue & I suggest attaching an alternate monitor to your device and creating a new user account to check if that works better, for starters)
However, if it doesn't work within the BIOS either, I'm afraid it's a hardware malfunction.
While you respond to that, I have a few more steps that should help:
Perform a power reset (no data loss) using these steps: Click here, proceed to next step if this works
