I have a pavilion 360. The brightness keys don't change the brightness. The level will go up and down, but the screen won't actually change.
I already went to settings > devices > monitors > Generic PhP and disabled/enabled it. It didn't change any thing.

HI@kabahr.Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand you have a screen brightness,
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any hardware or software changes on your PC?
You could change the brightness using the below steps:
Select Start, choose Settings, then select System > Display. Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness. (If the slider isn't there, see the Notes section below.)
If the issue persists, please follow the below steps to resolve any display adapter failures:
Settings > Display > Advanced Display Settings > Display Adapter Properties >
Then Properties > Driver Tab > Update Driver button.
If the above doesn't work, please uninstall the drivers and restart the computer for it to automatically reinstall the same, and then update the drivers using the HP website:
Click here to find and install the updates for BIOS, Chipset and graphics card drivers.
You can try updating the drivers using HP support assistant.
Refer this article to know more information about using HP support assistant.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
