Paviloon x360

Hi

My daughters HP Pavilon x360 screen is not coming on when she turns the laptop on.  Its black.  The on/off button light comes on, and the caps light button comes on when pressed, but can't do anything as the screen is blank.  I have tried the virtual agent and followed some of the steps, eg, switching on/off, pressing windows button and V or B key. I've tried to make contact with HP via twitter and they just send me links to  open and work from.  Most of the links are asking for me to download a diagnostic file, but I can't do that as the screen is blank!

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  My daughter needs the laptop for her Uni work.

Thanks

@pjazz Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the laptop screen is black.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please try to connect the laptop with an external display and check for the display.

Please perform the below steps.

Hard Reset:

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.

3) Remove the Battery. ( not for Built-in Battery computer )

4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.

5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)

6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step
