Hi @Riddle_Decipher , I think I have the same issue so thanks for your detailed advice so far. I have an "HP Pavilion - 15-au185sa".
It started with a pink strip along the bottom of the screen. It now has an orange strip across the top of the screen and green and pink vertical stripes across the rest of the screen which are consistent with dark or light pixels within the images the stripe passes through. When moving an image the coloured stripe takes a moment to transition to pass through the new location of the pixel.
I have checked the following:
Run all updates including to latest windows 10 and hp drivers.
When mirroring to a TV there is no issue on the TV.
The issue persists on the BIOS screen.
I don't believe it was dropped or wet but I'm not the only user.
My machine was a gift from my Dad so I'd like to try and resolve the issue before asking him about a warranty. I used the warranty checker and it says "Warranty status details for your product: Product sold without warranty". I believe it was new when he purchased it for himself and he gave it to me a few weeks after - should there not be some sort of manufacturers guarantee? I'm in the UK and thought there was a minimum obligation of some kind. Please feel free to send me to another thread regarding the warranty.
I'd appreciate any further advice you have regarding this issue.
Thanks
Steph
