my hp botebook remains black after turning it on, I tried to plug it to an external monitor and the display is there., that's why I tried to update my windows but the installation fiald. I also installed a new Graphics driver but still remains black screen. I already tried the 30-1-2 method earlier  but it didn't work,. does any body knows how to solve this? please help. I am in the middle of the semester and we're making our resarch papaer and my Software engineering subject has lots of paper works projects too do and my laptop is not working 😞

Hi Louie,


I don't think it is a display driver, Windows OS or its update's issue if you're able to successfully connect it to external monitor and access Windows normally.

The problem lies in the laptop display hardware or its connections.

What I could suggest you do is a hard reset
https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c01684768

If this doesn't work, you may have to get the laptop display checked by laptop hardware specialist.

I've already did the hard reset. I guess I really should bring my laptop to the specialist. Thank you..
