Microsoft Windows 11

I tried every possible solution I found from the internet and none of it worked. I tried searching for it in Device Manager and clicked "show hidden files," but still no camera. I also looked up online for every driver compatible with my desktop (HP All-in-One 27-cr0054 PC (7G9S2AA)) and yet, none of those showed a camera for my computer for me to install. Any other solution?

@Tongcs, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Camera in BIOS

Restart your PC and press F10 to enter BIOS.

Go to System Configuration > Device Configurations.

Ensure Embedded Camera is enabled.

Save changes and exit.

Use HP Support Assistant

Open HP Support Assistant (download from HP’s site if needed).

Run System Diagnostics to check for camera issues.

Reinstall Camera Driver

In Device Manager, right-click on your camera (under Imaging Devices).

Click Uninstall and then restart your PC.

After restarting, it should automatically reinstall the driver.

Run Camera Test

Restart your PC and press F2 to enter HP Diagnostics.

Select Component Tests > Webcam and run the test.

Check Privacy Settings

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.

Make sure camera access is allowed for apps.

Perform a System Restore

Go to Control Panel > Recovery > Open System Restore.

Choose a restore point when the camera was working.

Check for Windows Updates

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Click Check for Updates.

Also, I suggest you refer to this guide: HP PCs - Troubleshoot the webcam (Windows 11 and Windows 10) | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
