HP Pavilion x360 - 14m-dh0003dx

My camera stop working in the middle of my zoom meeting. When I troubleshoot, I get an error message saying no camera found. I contacted Microsoft and they advised that my driver was missing. We checked HP support and there is no driver for Windows 11. I need my camera for work. What can I do?

Hi @Karamel01,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing a driver issue that might indeed be the culprit. Since there isn't an official Windows 11 driver available from HP, you could try a few troubleshooting steps:

  • Check Device Manager: Go to Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search bar), and see if there are any devices listed with a yellow exclamation mark. This could indicate a driver issue.
  • Windows Update: Sometimes, Windows Update might have a generic driver that could work for your camera. Make sure your system is up to date by checking for updates in the Settings app.
  • Rollback Driver: If your camera stopped working after a recent driver update, you might want to try rolling back the driver to a previous version. Right-click on your camera device in Device Manager, select Properties, go to the Driver tab, and click Roll Back Driver if it's available.
  • Driver Update: While HP might not have a specific Windows 11 driver listed, you could try finding a Windows 10 driver for your camera from HP's website and see if it works. Sometimes, Windows 10 drivers can be compatible with Windows 11. Software and Drivers for HP Pavilion x360 - 14m-dh0003dx
  • Check BIOS/UEFI Settings: Sometimes, the camera might be disabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings. You can access this by restarting your computer and pressing a specific key (usually displayed on the boot screen) to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. Look for any camera-related settings and make sure they're enabled.

Hi, Gaya1239 for your response unfortunately I tried this prior to posting.  I checked the BIOS/UEFI settings. The rollback Driver option says not available and grayed out. There are no yellow exclamation marks in my device manager and my systems are up to date. At this point I don't know what to do I need my camera for work and my nonprofit organization. I had to borrow my son Apple Macbook.  I've always been an HP fan & really don't care for Apple products but if I can't get this issue ressolved ASAP. I might have to say goodbye to HP
