@JeannieB1, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let's try to get your HP Pavilion All-in-One PC powered back on. Here are a few steps to help diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:
Check Power Connection
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the PC and the wall outlet.
- Try a different wall outlet or power strip.
- If available, test with a known working power cable.
Perform a Power Reset
- Disconnect the power cable from the PC.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.
- Reconnect the power cable and try turning it on again.
Look for Signs of Power
- Do you see any LED lights on the power button or hear fan noise?
- If the screen remains black but the power light is on, try pressing F10 or Esc repeatedly during startup to access BIOS.
External Display Test (if applicable)
- If your model supports external display output, connect it to a monitor to check if the issue is with the built-in display.
Disconnect Peripherals
- Remove all USB devices, SD cards, and external drives.
- Try powering on with only the keyboard and mouse connected.
BIOS Recovery
If the PC shows a black screen but seems to power on:
- Press and hold Windows key + B, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release the power button but continue holding Windows + B for 10 seconds.
- This may trigger BIOS recovery.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
