HP Laptop 14-dk0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Everytime I press the backspace button it seems that my keyboard keys will pull up random applications on my laptop. I have to go to `Windows PowerShell (Admin)` to temporarily disable this issue until I use the backspace again. E.X. I hit backspace then press the "E" key and it will pull up my files, if I press "N" it will zoom in on my cursor until I close the magnifying app. Every key does something different or will not respond. During this I can press shift and keys will work properly only if I press shift. Please help me, and email me [Personal Information Removed] with answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the keyboard on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

When was the last time the keyboard was working fine?

Meanwhile, I recommend you uninstall the keyboard driver from the device manager and then restart the computer and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
