Hi @Jenncavaliere, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The silence of the keys, a symphony 🎼of frustration. Your fingers dance across the keyboard, yet the letters refuse to join in. It's as if they're on strike, leaving you with an orchestra 🪗of nothingness.
Let's troubleshoot this melodrama:
Check Keyboard Connection: Ensure your keyboard is properly connected to your computer. If it's a wireless keyboard, check the batteries.
Run the Keyboard Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find Keyboard and click Run.
Update Keyboard Driver:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Update driver.
Adjust Keyboard Settings:
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Typing.
- Turn off options like Show text suggestions when typing on the physical keyboard, Autocorrect misspelled words, and Highlight misspelled words.
Run System File Checker:
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
I hope this helps. 😇
Take care and have a good day. 🙂
