Hi @Baskarreddy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Let's try to get your HP laptop display working again. Since you mentioned the display is not working at all, here are some steps to help diagnose and possibly fix the issue:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps
1. Check for Signs of Power
- Do you see any LED lights (power, charging, keyboard)?
- Do you hear the fan or feel heat from the laptop?
If no signs of power, it could be a power or motherboard issue.
2. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect the power adapter.
- If the battery is removable, take it out.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and power, then try turning it on.
3. External Monitor Test
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI or VGA.
- Power on the laptop and press F4 (or Fn + F4) to switch displays.
- If the external monitor works, the issue is likely with your laptop screen or display cable.
4. Check for Caps Lock or Blink Codes
- If the Caps Lock or Num Lock LED blinks, count the blinks.
- This is an error code that can help identify the issue (e.g., 3 blinks = memory issue).
5. BIOS Recovery
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
- Release all keys and wait. If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the prompts.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
