Hi @lou154,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your laptop's display may be experiencing a backlight bleed issue. This is a common problem with LCD displays where some of the backlights that illuminate the screen leaks through the edges or corners of the display, causing uneven lighting.

There are a few things you can try to mitigate this issue:

  • Adjust the brightness: Sometimes simply lowering the brightness of the display can help reduce the amount of backlight bleed.
  • Change the display orientation: If the backlight bleed is particularly bad in one corner of the display, try rotating the laptop so that corner is at the top or bottom of the screen instead.
  • Update your graphics driver: Sometimes outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause display issues. Try updating your graphics driver to see if it resolves the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
