Hi,

Whilst just casually browsing the internet and listening to Spotify, my screen all of a sudden turned blank, the music in my headphones continued to play but usually these sorts of problems would be fixed if I put my laptop lid down, that's what I did and yet nothing appeared on my display. So after that I holding down the power button to reset, again nothing. Bearing in mind I only got this laptop 2/3 months ago so I'm very frustrated at this point. I then went on the support section of the site and attempt to go through the steps. Hard reset doesn't work. I finally get somewhere when I connected a HDMI to an external monitor and that displayed my screen but still the laptop screen itself stays blank. When I try to update the BIOS, it says it's already up to date. So I go the next step that says recover the BIOS using keys, this also doesn't work but the laptop does sound like it's doing something (no bleeps), I'm not connected to the other monitor but from the looks of it, the laptop keeps restarting. I've also now noticed that the battery of the laptop is just continuously going down even with the charger in. Using the virtual agent is no help either. I try getting through to HP but they're closed.

Is there anything else I can do?? If anyone can help me, I'd be so appreciative!  I desperately need this laptop, I use it for all of my study and have exams in two weeks.

Right after even more time, the battery has gone down from 80% to 13%, I turned the laptop off straight after and popped the charger in for a few hours and still no change to charge. So on top of the screen, I now have a battery problem too, I just don't understand how all this happens all of a sudden, I was just browsing on my laptop. I'm going to try to charge it again in the morning but I doubt this will work.
