All of a sudden my monitor won't display my MacBook Pro. It says check video cable and video source. I have reconnected all cables. I had to use a usb cable to connect and it was working just fine. The monitor was bought in December 2019 so should not be going out.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that the monitor is not working on your Mac computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Have you tested the monitor on a Windows PC?
HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.
I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

I disconnected my monitor from my Mac and turned off my Mac. Then I connected my monitor to the Mac. I still get the following:

As informed earlier, HP doesn't create any drivers for Mac computers or provide support. I recommend you check with Apple support.
Cheers!
