Hi @JaiyanMahbub,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the camera on your HP Spectre x360 Convertible is on but not functioning, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue.
Check Camera Privacy Settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and make sure that "Allow apps to access your camera" is turned on.
- Also, ensure that the specific app you're trying to use (e.g., Zoom, Teams) is allowed to access the camera.
Check Device Manager
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Imaging devices or Cameras section.
- Right-click your camera, select Update driver, and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If there are any issues (e.g., a yellow warning symbol), try uninstalling the device, then rebooting to reinstall.
Reset the Camera App
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Scroll down to the Camera app, click it, and select Advanced options.
- Choose Reset to restore the app to its default settings.
Check HP Support Assistant
- Open the HP Support Assistant app on your laptop.
- Run a check for updates and install any available updates for your system, including camera drivers.
BIOS Settings
- Restart your laptop and press the Esc or F10 key to enter the BIOS setup.
- Look for an option related to the camera and ensure it’s enabled. Save any changes and restart.
Test in Different Apps
- Open different applications like Camera (pre-installed app) or Web conferencing apps to see if the camera works in any of them.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
