@Sanderson26, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
That sounds really inconvenient! Let's figure out what's causing the screen to go black every 10 seconds. A few questions to narrow it down:
- Does the screen go black but stay powered on, or does the laptop fully turn off?
- Does it happen only on battery power, or even when plugged in?
- Does it power back on if you try to interact with it?
Meanwhile, you can try these steps:
- Open Power Options (Win + X → Power Options) and set Turn off display to Never.
- Disable any screensaver.
- Update your graphics drivers in Device Manager under Display Adapters.
- Check if the screen goes black when using an external monitor to rule out display issues.
- If using a monitor, check HDMI/DisplayPort cables for loose connections.
- Adjust the laptop screen angle slightly to check for a loose display cable.
