@Sanderson26, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

That sounds really inconvenient! Let's figure out what's causing the screen to go black every 10 seconds. A few questions to narrow it down:

  1. Does the screen go black but stay powered on, or does the laptop fully turn off?
  2. Does it happen only on battery power, or even when plugged in?
  3. Does it power back on if you try to interact with it?

Meanwhile, you can try these steps:

  • Open Power Options (Win + X → Power Options) and set Turn off display to Never.
  • Disable any screensaver.
  • Update your graphics drivers in Device Manager under Display Adapters.
  • Check if the screen goes black when using an external monitor to rule out display issues.
  • If using a monitor, check HDMI/DisplayPort cables for loose connections.
  • Adjust the laptop screen angle slightly to check for a loose display cable.
