Hi @T_ok,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing the images; they clearly show severe screen artifacts and flickering, with horizontal distortion lines and scrambled visuals. This is not caused by a virus; it’s almost certainly a hardware or driver issue. Here’s the troubleshooting process:

Why This Happens

  • GPU or Display Cable Issue: Loose or damaged internal display cable or failing GPU.
  • Driver Corruption: Graphics driver conflict after updates.
  • Panel Damage: Physical damage to the LCD or connector.

Step 1: Check External Display

  • Connect your HP Victus to an external monitor via HDMI.
  • If the external display works fine:
    • The issue is with the internal display or cable, not the GPU.
  • If the external display also flickers:
    • The issue is likely GPU or driver-related.

Step 2: Boot into Safe Mode

  • Restart and press F11Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Settings → Enable Safe Mode.
  • If the screen looks normal in Safe Mode:
    • It’s a driver issue.

Step 3: Reinstall Graphics Drivers

Step 4: Hardware Diagnostics

  • Press Esc repeatedly at startup → F2 for HP Diagnostics.
  • Run Display and GPU tests.

If the Issue Persists

  • This is likely a hardware fault (LCD panel or GPU).
  • Contact HP for on-site service or repair

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
