HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-ch1000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP Envy 17.3 inch Laptop. I do not use a mouse, I choose to use the touchpad instead. Sometimes it doesn't click when I press on it, and then the cursor goes crazy. Parts of the screen turns blue and I lose control of the cursor. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so is there something you did to fix it? Thank you.

Hello,

I followed all of the steps you told me to do and it was working great! I wanted to wait a few days before I replied back to let you know if it helped and unfortunately it is no longer helping. There was an update that became available after I took the steps and it seems to have been when the issues started again. This is the update I downloaded and installed on September 21, 2022... Synaptics - Mouse - 19.5.35.80

Thank you for your help, I do truly appreciate it and will appreciate any further assistance you can recommend.

Now you see that you can't rely on Microsoft and HP. A working system is simply broken by an update...
