Where can I find the Windows 11 drivers for my HP 15-fd0xxx? I am looking to install the driver for the HID-compliant touchscreen. I just purchased my laptop two weeks ago, but there is no driver in the system. When selecting options from the dropdown menus on the driver support page, the HID-compliant touchscreen driver is not listed as an option

Hi @https_coco,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding driver for your laptop!
To install the HID-compliant touchscreen driver on your HP 15-fd0xxx laptop running Windows 11, follow these steps:
Check for Windows Updates
Before manually downloading the driver, ensure that your system is up to date, as Windows might have already detected and installed the necessary drivers.
- Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.
- Navigate to Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates.
- Install any available updates and restart your laptop if necessary.
Install Drivers from HP Support
If Windows doesn’t have the driver, you can manually download it from HP's official website.
- Visit the HP Support page for your laptop.
- Enter your laptop's model number: HP 15-fd0xxx.
- Select Windows 11 as your operating system in the dropdown menu.
- Go to the Driver-Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices section.
- Look for the HID-compliant touchscreen driver (if available). If not listed, proceed with the next steps.
Install Generic HID-Compliance Touchscreen Driver
Sometimes, Windows will have a generic touchscreen driver that might work:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
- Right-click on HID-compliant touchscreen and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If Windows finds and installs an update, the issue may be resolved.
Manually Download from Microsoft
If the above options don’t work, you can install the driver manually from Microsoft's repository:
- Visit the Microsoft Update Catalog.
- In the search bar, type HID-compliant touchscreen.
- Download the driver that matches your system architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) and install it manually.
Use HP Support Assistant (Optional)
HP's Support Assistant can also help you find and install drivers automatically.
- Download and install HP Support Assistant.
- Open the app and follow the prompts to update your system drivers.
Reinstall Windows (If Necessary)
If you still cannot find the correct driver, there might be an issue with your installation. In that case, you could try reinstalling Windows 11 using HP recovery tools or creating a fresh installation USB to start from scratch.
Let me know if you're able to find and install the driver or need further assistance! 😊
