Hello! I'm trying to decide between two customised HP laptops. The 15t-dy200 and the ENVY Laptop - 17t-ch000. I've built them on the website to be essentially the same in every area except for one: the screen. Obviously, the 15" is a touch smaller. It would have the FHD IPS BrightView micro-edge WLED-backlit touch screen (1920 x 1080). The 17" would have the FHD, IPS, WLED-backlit, multitouch-enabled, edge-to-edge glass (1920 x 1080). It being a touchscreen is quite important to me. I also like that the 17" has what seems to be a better battery and another USB port.
I'm not very good at knowing what the different terms mean. While I use my computer frequently (a 17" envy x360 - I've had many problems with the screen because of it being an x360, hence going for a more static model) I am not familiar with components. What are the differences between these two screens? Is one markedly better than the other? Is the larger size, additional USB port, different screen, and different battery worth the roughly $400 price difference?
Thank you so much for your time! I am not very familiar with reddit outside of occasionally browsing advice topics, so I hope I formatted this correctly. Let me know if any additional info is needed.
