Laptop turned off due to battery dying . Plugged back in and when powering back up the hp sign was kind of pixelated and 4 wide black and white vertical lines appeared in the background.  When desktop screen loades it looks like a negative of a photo . Checked video cable and it is clear when i plug into an external monitor

I reviewed your post and I understand you are facing issues with the display on your computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

 

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105966.exe

 

Graphics: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82032.exe

Come to find out the screen was artifacting because my gpu was going up. So replacing the motherboard.  Thanks for your advice. I did complete the updates previously
