So my laptop screen has cracked and I am trying to get into the BIOS menu and I'm unable to do so as the external display I'm using via HDMI only start working once Windows has started up how do I go about accessing my BIOS if I have a correct internal screen and I'm using an external screen via HDMI

Unfortunately, you can't.

As you already pointed out an external monitor won't work until Windows boots up and loads the graphics drivers.

The BIOS only contains the most basic graphics driver to activate the PC's internal display and if you don't have an image on that display, then you are out of luck regarding getting into the BIOS until you replace the notebook's display.

That is why BIOS stands for Basic Input/Output System.
