HP Notebook - 14-cf1502sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I have a HP Notebook - 14-cf1502sa that is already connected to a monitor via the only HDMI port on the laptop.
In order to connect a 2nd monitor, I bought a HP USB-C to Multi-port Hub which also has a HDMI port.
My assumption was that the USB‐c 3.1 gen 1 was supporting video.

Unfortunately I can't get any connection from the second monitor. It is just not recognised. I spend quite some time restarting the laptop, checking on the HDMI cable, etc. Nothing to do.

Does someone knows how to do? Or maybe direct me to the right additional docking station I need to connect this second monitor?

Thanks!

@bartpier

Looks like HP servers are down, I can't get the USB-C specs of your machine. Note: All USB-C ports are NOT the same. Your machine has at least one USB-A port. You can use USB-A dock too

If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (plus notebook screen, total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few options on market today including some HP products:

or try following HP docks

My pick for productivity and few more years down the track:

                HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2

Hi Banhien,

Thanks for your message.

the USB-C specs are:  USB‐c 3.1 gen 1

I am afraid that it simply doesn't support video

If this is the case, I believe no HP dock could help me solve my issue
